Since its inception in 2003, the Modern Law College, under the able guidance of Prof. Dr. G. R. Ekbote, has remained steadfast to its commitment for inculcating the ‘spirit of the law’ in the law students.

        In an endeavour to enhance legal skills and augment knowledge of law, the college organised one day National Seminar on “Land Acquisition Laws in India” on 26th September 2015.

Seminar was arranged in association with Board of Student Welfare, SPPU.

The sub-theme of the seminar consists of:

1. Comparative Appraisal of Old Act (1894) and New Acts

2. Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and relevant Issues

3. Land Acquisition and Tribals

4. Land Acquisition vis-a-vis Economic Development

 

Participation:

College got tremendous response as around 20 research articles were submitted by Academicians, Lawyers and Students in the seminar.

 

Publication:

16 Research articles accepted and presented in the seminar were published in the Special Issue titled “Land Acquisition Laws in India” bearing ISBN 978-81-929282-1-0
