One Day National Seminar on Legal Research and Plagiarism- The need for Research Ethics

26th February 2016. 

P.E.S. Modern Law College, Department of LL.M.organised a One Day National Seminar on Legal Research and Plagiarism – The need for Research  Ethics 26th February 2016.

The sub themes for the National Seminar were as follows-

·         Plagralism in Law Schools/ colleges and Proper Attribution.

·         Academic Inegrity and ethical practice in the conduct of research – Need for Change.

·         Plagralism Detection – Issues and Challenges.

·         Legal and ethical implications of Internet Misuse. 

Welcome address and introduction and of Felicitation of the Resource Person – was done by Dr. Sunita Adhav, Principal, Modern Law College, Pune.  

The Resource Person for the event was Honourable Smt. Aruna Faraswani, Principal Judge, and Aurangabad. Mrs. A. Faraswani emphasised the Importance of Research and explained Reserach mean Re –Search i.e. to search again ang again and understand it better by going into deep. It is a challenge to do research and a systemetic mechanish has to be followed. She also brought into light the practicle aspects of doing good research. She in her interactive session also clarified various doubt the students had on several fields of research. Madam in her speech emphasised that, “the best way of avoiding plagiarism is to learn and employ the principles of good academic practice from the beginning of your university career. Avoiding plagiarism is not simply a matter of making sure your references are all correct, or changing enough words so the examiner will not notice your paraphrase; it is about deploying your academic skills to make your work as good as it can be”.There were Paper Presentations by the Students of LL.M on seminar Subthemes-
