One Day Workshop on “Importance of IPR in Contemporary Era” 1st June 2021
One Day online Workshop on “Importance of Intellectual Property Rights in Contemporary Era” was held on 1st June, 2021 by the Modern Law College in association with Great Mission Group Consultancy, India. In first session, Prof. Adv. Ganesh Hingmire sir, Founder of GMGC, India explained about the current framework, importance of Intellectual property rights in India. In second session, Adv. Archana Deshpande, Trademark Attorney guided the participants on opportunities available in Intellectual Property Rights. More than 100 students from various colleges from Pune District, participated in the workshop.

15th Shankarrao Kanitkar National Level Online Moot Competition
Shankarrao Kanitkar National Level Moot Competition has been organized by the PES Modern Law College to enhance the practical knowledge of the law and court proceedings among students from the last 14 years. The 15th National Moot Competition was held online on 5th June 2021 due to the worldwide outbreak of Covid-19. Dr. Sunita Adhav, the Principal of the College inaugurated the ceremony and addressed the students. Total no. of 26 teams from 9 states participated in the competition. The competition was conducted in three rounds i.e., preliminary, semi-finals and final. The first prize won by MMMs Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, the second prize won by Government Law College, Mumbai. The award for the Best Advocate secured by Ms.Saloni Paliwal. Even due to pandemic, the students have shown their full enthusiasm & energy while representing themselves through online mode.

The one-day online Induction program on Psychology Counselling was organised in P.E.S Modern law College on 12th of June 2021. The Chief guest Dr. Nirjhara Wagh guided the participants on the very fragile part of our emotional life and social system.She told the participant that she always helped her client work through issues including stress, anger, depression, and failure. Not only did his lecture have an impact on the participants, but it also opened everyone’s eyes.

National Reading Day is celebrated on June 19 in honour of father of India’s Library Movement, the late P.N. Panicker. To further practice and also emphasize on the improvement of reading the Modern Law College celebrates the National Reading Day. Reading enhances the power of imagination and creativity. The college grants award to the best library user’s awards to students to promote habit of reading amoung the students.
International Yoga Day Celebration
International Yoga Day is celebrated internationally on 21st June to promote health, harmony and peace. The Modern Law College has celebrated Yoga Day in the college. The yoga session was organized for staff and students of the college. The students performed various yoga and also practiced meditation.
STUDENTS FELICITATION PROGRAMME
The felicitation ceremony for students who have done outstanding work during the pandemic was organized online by the Modern Law College on 21st June, 2021.Ankita Gupta, a third-year B.A.LL.B student, has made a world record recognized as “The Longest Law Poetry” by the International Book of Records. She has compiled all sections of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, poetically in her book “THE TRICK OF 511” within five days. It has been. The aim behind it was to create learning artistically. She mentions, “The poem has illustrated all the sections of Indian Penal Code more simply so that the general public can get the idea about the laws in India.” It’s her way to give back to society whatever she has learned from it.
Lecture series under the Aegis of Modern Legal Research Center
The PES Modern Law College has organized 5 day online lecture series under the aegis of Modern Legal Research Centre from 21st June to 25th June. The lecture series imparted technical knowledge on the new avenues which are still need to be researched in the areas of space law, cyber laws, international law and labour laws.
On the first day Dr. Durgambini A. Patel, former Head of the Department of Law acquainted the participants with the research methodology and its importance in law on the first day.
On the second day Dr. Priyanka Jawale, an active member of the International Nuclear Law Association and Indian Nuclear Law Association gave insight into the concept of space and the laws relating to space.

On the third day Prof. Swapnil Bangali, a practicing Advocate & academician. He gave an outline of cybercrimes and measures to prevent cybercrimes in this era of digitalization. He also underlined the powers of the investigating agencies and authorities.
On the fourth day Asst. Prof. Ajay Tambulkar, visiting faculty for Intellectual Property Rights Law in the Indian Society of International Law, Delhi informed students about the meaning, rules, and principles of International Law while concentrating on the Indian perspective.
On the fifth day Dr. Shrikant Malegaonkar practicing Advocate at Pune Labour/Industrial Courts guided the students on career opportunities in labour law. Adv. He focused on the ground reality in practice in the labour law.
Tribal Rights Guest lecture
The PES Modern Law College has organized an online guest lecture on ‘Tribal Rights Awareness’ on 28 June 2021. The lecture was given by the Executive member of Think India Tribal Rights Forum, Ms. Dakshita Dubey. She emphasized the importance of rights of tribal people in the contemporary era and various legal aspects of it. She also discussed important case laws relating to tribal rights. The students also got chance to interact with her. Total 270 students attended the guest lecture.
Saviors on Earth – Doctor’s Day
On the occasion of Doctor’s Day the PES Modern Law College has organized a guest lecture of Dr. G.R. Ekbote chairman of Progressive Education Society. The theme of lecture was ‘Saviors on the Earth – Doctor’s Day’ The second wave of the corona was briefly discussed by Dr. G.R. Ekbote Sir, who also made everyone aware of the third wave. He urged the participants to wear masks, keep their distance from one another, the importance of vaccination and adhere to all of the COVID-19 regulations. After the lecture students interacted with Dr. G.R. Ekbote sir about Covid-19 and its impact.

Tree Plantation Drive
Every year Modern Law College, Pune organizes Tree Plantation Drive in Vasundhara Movement Activity. A tree plantation drive was organized by Modern Law College, Pune at the dept of forest, Gokhale nagar, Pune. On 2nd July 2021. In this drive more than 15 students participated and they planted more than 15 saplings under the supervision of Asst. Prof Vikas Waghmare and Asst. Prof. Akshay Ugale. The respected professors urged the volunteers to ensure proper care of the saplings. All norms of COVID-19 were followed.
ISO Certification for Documentation/Quality Management Training
PES Modern Law College organized a programme on ISO AWARENESS for enhancing the system in administration and governance and ultimately to intensify the reputation of the Institution. Mr. Hambirrao Patil from Prerana Consultancy Services gave training on ISO 9001-2015 certification. This programme was taken during COVID-19 pandemic, all precautions were taken for the same. Teaching and non-teaching staff of the college attended the programme.
National Librarian’s Day
129th Birth Anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan
Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College celebrated National Librarians’ Day on 12 August 2021 to commemorate the 129th birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr S. R. Ranganathan (1892-1972), who is considered as father of library science in India. Dr. Ranganathan dedicated his entire life to the library profession in India leaving a rich legacy.

One Week Meditation Program
PES Modern Law College, has organized online one-week Yoga and Meditation program from 19 August to 25 August 2021 for BALLB and LLB first year students. On the first day Ms. Shrilata Seshadri conducted a session on module ‘CONNECT’ focusing on inner building, personal development and growth.
On the second day, Ms. Anagha Kulkarni engaged students on module ‘SELF-AWARENESS’ explaining the how to explore purpose of life and preserving core values of life. She also laid emphasis on belief system and recognition of strength and weakness for personal growth.
On the third day Mr. Vikram Makhwana while explaining the module ‘CONTEXT’ conducted different activities, question answer session. He also addressed covid-19 situation and its impact on human and animal life. He explained to student method of ‘CONNECTING WITHIN INNERSELF’ through mediation.
On the fourth day, on module ‘CHOICES’, Ms. Priyanka Srivastava focused on topics like how to make the right choices and to excel at them. She also shared some videos from www.menti.com with students and conducted mediation activities.
On the fifth day, speaker Mr. Raju Illa took a very nice session on module ‘CAUSALITY’ in which he addressed the issues of interdependencies, things which are out of our control and how to deal with it. He explained importance of anger, stress management, sleep and daily habits which has huge impact on our life.

Free Guidance for Entrance Exam
The Modern Law college has organized the free guidance lecture programme for entrance exam of Law courses. The principal Dr. Sunita Adhav welcomed all the participants. Asst.Prof. Kaustubh Ghtate explained the procedure of CET exam and admission, how CAP rounds are conducted and all other relevant information about the admission procedure. Ass. Prof. Kaustubh Ghate also conducted a question-and-answer session to clear all the doubts of participants regarding the admission procedure.

The Modern Law College has celebrated the ‘Vachan Prerna Din’ or Reading Day on 15th October to pay homage to former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The day is celebrated to promote the importance of reading and to encourage students to develop the habit of reading in students. The principal, teaching faculty and students celebrated the ‘Vachan Prerna Din’ in the college.
EBC Reader E-Library Plaform
One day online Workshop on training on E-resources was organized by the Modern Law College on 15th November 2021. Mr. Pratik from Eastern Book Company was the resource person for the workshop. EBC Reader is a online platform which provides e-content for legal research and also features an extensive library. Due to the lockdown in covid-19 colleges were closed. So, the college has subscribed to an EBC Reader platform which contains variety of law books and content. Mr. Pratik sir guided the student about how to use the EBC- Reader platform.
6 Day Yoga and Meditation Workshop for Faculty & Staff of the College
Modern Law College, Ganeshkhind Road had organised an online 6 days session on Resilience in crisis along with various uplifting activities and a live meditation program in each session from 22nd November 2021 to 27th November 2021 for all faculty members. Through these sessions the importance of qualities like self-leadership, gratitude, maintaining a relationship, self-compassion, aspirations, decision making were emphasized by different guest for each day.
National Constitution Day Celebration
Every year on November 26th, our nation observes Constitution Day, often referred to as “Samvidhan Divas,” to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The Indian Constitution was enacted by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949, and it became operative on January 26, 1950. On the occasion of Constitution Day, the Modern Law College has arranged an online guest lecture of Adv. Ganesh Shirsath. He explained the basic features of the constitution, the fundamental rights and duties. Students asked questions relating to the Constitution of India.
Modern Law College ‘Virtual Get Together”
Modern Law College, Pune has organized an online “Get Together” for its students on 26 November 2021. Get Together was organized to reduce barriers between students in various classes. The event was organized by the students under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Vikas Waghmare. Various games on Movies, Laws, Books, etc.
Inauguration of Innovatia – IPR Cell
The Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College has taken an innovative step by starting an Intellectual Property Rights Cell. The inauguration ceremony of the cell was organized online on 4th December 2021. The cell is established to provide legal guidance relating to intellectual property rights and creating awareness about it. The Guest of Honour Mr. Suresh Londhe along with the Principal Dr. Sunita Adhav virtually inaugurated the cell. Mr. Suresh Londhe while addressing ceremony the appreciated the step taken by college. He also underlined the new emerging trends and career opportunities in intellectual property rights.

Legal Aid Camp at Upper Indira Nagar in association with the Corporator Shri Balasaheb Oswal
Legal aid camp was organized at Upper Indira Nagar in association with Shri. Balasaheb Oswal, Corporator, Pune on 4th December 2021. The chief guest for the Legal aid camp wasAdv. Pratik Tendulkar. The legal awareness program on cyber security was conducted. Adv. Pratik Tendulkar sensitized the participants about the cyber laws and what precautions should be taken to while using internet, online transactions and online shopping. After the legal awareness program, the participants asked about their queries about legal procedure, their legal problems and Adv. Pratik provided legal aid to them.
International Human Rights Day
The International Human Rights Day was celebrated in Modern Law College under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Adhav, Principal the college. The Human Rights Day is celebrated on 10 December annually. On this day United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human rights. The principal of the college explained the importance human rights and various aspects of human right to students.
Lok Adalat Visit 11 December 2021
The College has organized the Lok-Adalat visit in Shivajinagar Court, Pune on 11th of December, 2021. The main purpose of the visit is to acquaint students with the functioning of the Lok-Adalat. Lok-Adalat is an alternative dispute resolution system in which disputes are settled by using methods like mediation and conciliation.
Online Youth Parliament Competition
One day Intra collegiate online Youth Parliament Competition was arranged at PES Modern Law College, Pune on 16th December 2021. Youth Parliaments is an educational tool to promote understanding of the working of government in the students. The Principal Dr. Sunita Adhav addressed the participants about significance of youth in participation in governance and democracy. Three teams participated in the competition and presented on topics- Surrogacy Regulation Bill 2019, Centralization of Police Bill 2021 and Data Protection Bill 2019. The Judge of the Youth Parliament Competition, Dr. Madhushree Joshi appreciated the participants and declared the results. Team of B.A.LL. B- IV won the first prize.
National Level Webinar on “Evolution of Library Science” with Special reference to Academic Interface of Law.
A National Level Webinar on “Evolution of Library Science with Special reference to Academic Interface of Law” was organized on 21st December by PES Modern Law College, Pune. The webinar was conducted in three sessions. In the first session Dr. Rajendra Kumbhar, Professor & Head, Library & Information Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University. He emphasized on the importance of reading books and the role of audiobooks in developing habit of reading.
In the second session, Dr. Vaishali Gudadhe, Dean, Department of Interdisciplinary Studies and Professor & Head, Library & Information Science, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati addressed participants on the topic “Use of Law E-resources and Mendeley Reference Manager Tools” in research.
The last session was conducted by Mr. Pralhad Jadhav, Associate Director- Library & KM, Khaitan & Company (Corporate Law Firm), Mumbai. He explained the incorporation of artificial intelligence services into the library. He also laid emphasis on use of advanced search methods and fact-finding methods. Dr. Sunita Mane, Librarian of the college concluded the webinar by expressing vote of thanks.

ISO Final Audit
PES Modern Law College, Pune approached “Prerana Consultancies” for ISO 9001:2015 certification. Certification helps for enhancing system in administration and governance and ultimately intensifies the reputation of the Institution. Mr. Hambirrao Patil, Auditor, Prerana Consultancy Services gave training on ISO 9001:2015 certification. Mr. Pranjal Kawadkar was the External Auditor for the ISO certification. The External Auditor was satisfied with the documentation process and lastly declared that the institute can be certified with ISO 9001:2015. Dr. Sunita Adhav, Principal, PES Modern Law College, Pune thanked Mr. Hambirrao Patil and Pranjal Kawadkar for assisting the institute with ISO certification.

Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College celebrated the Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule Jayanti on the 3rd of January in the College. The Jayanti was organized under the guidance of Coordinator Adv. Dr.Chintamani Ghate, Principal Dr. Sunita Adhav, and Vice-Principal of the college. The Principal of the College gave a speech on the life and work of Savitribai Phule.
Secret Santa – an Activity for Faculty
The Modern Law College Celebrated the ‘Secret Santa’ for celebrating Christmas. Under this activity a holiday tradition which involves college staff buying gifts for each other anonymously. In this activity gifts were kept in library section secretly and everyone picked up the gift with their names on it. All the faculties of the college participated in it and enjoyed the ‘Secret Santa.’
Campus Francis: The Embassy of France in India
Modern Law College, Pune under the Competitive Examination Cell In association with Campus France, the Embassy of France in India organized a Webinar on Higher Education and Scholarship opportunities in France. Ms. Siddhi Padture, Manager, Campus France, Institut Francais en India, was the resource person for the webinar. She started the webinar with an introduction to France and explained courses offered by the public universities of France. She also discussed the admission procedure and how Campus Francis can help students with the visa and scholarships application.
Clothes Donation Drive Robin Hood Army
The Modern Law College organized a clothes donation drive in the month of Jan-Feb 2022, with Robin Hood Army. In the clothes donation drive, we collected around 57 items, which includes shirts, pants, bags, shoes, jackets, blankets, bedsheets, etc. This activity was organized with NGO named, Robin Hood Army. College handed over the collected items to the Robin Hood Army and they distributed the items to the needy people.
16th Shankarrao Kanitkar National Moot Court Competition
The 16th Shankarrao Kanitkar National Moot Court competition was organized by PES Modern Law College, Pune on 22nd January 2022. The competition is organized every year by the college to enhance advocacy skills among law students. The competition was held online using the zoom platform. Total 18 teams from various law colleges and institutions from all over India had participated in this competition. The competition was conducted in the preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds. For the final round, the judges were Adv. Dr. Chintamani Ghate, Adv. Suyog Wagh and Adv. Rishiraj Walvekar. The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab won the competition and Symbiosis Law School, Pune won the runner-up prize. Ms. H.N. Shree Harini from Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University, Chennai won the award of the best speaker.

One-Day Workshop on IPR
One day workshop on “Awareness on Intellectual Property Rights for the Aspiring Minds” was organized in the Modern Law College in collaboration with the Indian Patent and Trademarks Office, Mumbai. Dr. Ajay ThakurAsst. Controller Patents & Designs Office, Mumbai was guest speaker for the workshop. He explained the concept of Intellectual Property Rights and related topics like trademarks, patent, geographical indications etc. He also conducted a quiz on Intellectual property rights followed by a question-answer session. The workshop was free, and open to the public.
Bridge Course
Bridge courses are quick courses that are intended to teach the basics about a more advanced course. The Modern Law College has organized bridge courses for its students of BB.A.LL.B, from 15th to 23rd February 2022. On 15th February Asst. Prof. Ruchira Tapre conducted a session on management definition and importance of management, role of consumers, trends like crypto, NFTs and currency. On 16th February a session was conducted by Asst. Prof. Prajakta Pimpalshende on Management and Law. In which she discussed the role of management in corporate world and general businesses, effectiveness of learning management and entering into law career.
On the third day, 17th February Dr. Ananya Bibave conducted a session on the Indian legal System. In she enlightened students about Indian Constitution and Preamble, definition, history and motive of law with main insights on the Indian legal System and its hierarchy.
On 18th February, Asst. Prof. Prajakta Pimpalshende took a brief session on BBA.LL.B. Course explaining the syllabus, elective subjects in course and techniques on the utilization of the course.
On 19th February a session on Anti-ragging laws for counseling redressal and prevention of ragging was led by Dr. Ananya Bibave. In session, she explained in detail evolution and legal framework, objectives of anti-ragging laws, and measures for the prohibition of ragging at the institutional level.

मॉडर्न विधी महाविद्यालयात दिनांक २७ फेब्रुवरी २०२२ रोजी मराठी राज्यभाषा दिन साजरा करण्यात आला. मराठी राज्यभाषा दिनानिमित्त महाविद्यालायात सुलेखन स्पर्धा आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. स्पर्धेचे विषय मराठी अस्मिता, मराठी बाणा, मराठी भाषेचा उगम, मराठी भाषेचा इतिहास आणि मराठी भाषा आणि संस्कृतिहे होते. सुलेखन स्पर्धेत एकूण ३२ विद्यार्थ्यानी सहभाग घेतला होता. दिपाली बाळू तिकूडवे हिने प्रथम क्रमांक मिळवला तर आकांक्षा महेंद्र कवचाळे हिने द्वितीय क्रमांक मिळवला.

Women’s Day Celebration
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The Gender Champions Club of Modern Law College on the occasion of women’s day organized a guest lecture on ‘Sujok Therapy’ by Mrs. Snehal Botre for all faculties of the college. For students a special poster-making competition for its students of BALLB, LLB, and LLM. The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is- ‘Break the Bias.’ Students from all the classes participated in the event and 23 entries were received for the competition. First prize was won by Anisha Shinde and Ankita Gawari stood second in competition.

Lok-Adalat Visit
The students of the Modern Law College visited the Lok-Adalat organized at District Court, Shivajinagar, Pune. The Lok Adalat is organized for speedy and quick settlement of disputes through different methods of dispute resolution like mediation, and conciliation to reduce the burden on the judicial system in India. 30 students from LLB-III year along with Asst. Prof. Prajakta Pimpalshende and Asst. Prof. Vikas Waghmare. This visit enabled the students to understand the working of Lok Adalat.
National Webinar on “Socio-Legal Perspective of Mental Health Issues and Challenges”
Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College, Pune in association with Maharashtra Institute of Mental Health, a state-level, apex government institute (MIMH)organized a national Webinar on“Socio-Legal Perspective of Mental Health Issues and Challenges” on 14TH March 2022. The Webinar was divided into four Sessions. In the first session Dr.Rohini Honap, principal of TMV’s Lokmanya Tilak Law College, Pune guided the participants on the topic ‘Developing Positive Mental Health for Teaching and Learning Experience’.
In Second Session, Dr.Sourabh Ubale, in-Charge of International Collaborations at Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune addressed the participants on ‘Mental Health of Prisoners from philosophy to practice through Law Reforms’.
In the third Session, Dr.Neetin Abhivant, Chief Administrative Officer of MIMH ( Maharashtra Institute of Mental Health )Pune lectured on the topic of Legal Provisions and Clinical Practice.
The fourth session on topic “Human Rights and International Perspective to Mental Health” was conducted by Dr. Prof. Avinash Kolhe, a retired Associate Professor he underlined the different conventions relating to human rights. The National Webinar was concluded after a voting of thanks by Asst. Prof Shital Keskar.

Induction Program
During the covid-19 period, due to lockdown, people have suffered the most physically and mentally. The Modern law College has arranged the one day online ‘Psychological Induction Program’ for the students of the college. Dr. Sunita Adhav, Principal of the college highlighted the purpose and need of psychological counselling. Dr. Nirjhara Wagh, was chief guest of the program. She addressed the students about how to deal with stress and anger management and how to boost confidence. She is also appointed as a psychology Counsellor for the college.

The Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College organized the one-day Workshop International on ‘Understanding the International Regime Governing the Law of Sea (UNCLOS-A Brief)’. The workshop was organized by LL.M department of the college on 22nd of march 2022. The resource person for the workshop was Adv. Varun Shaligram who is Maritime Lawyer and Partner, Shaligram and Associates, Pune. In workshop he explained the development of conventions on law of Sea. He mainly focused on United Nations Conventions on Law of Sea which lays down a comprehensive regime of law and order in the world’s oceans and seas establishing rules governing all uses of the oceans and their resources.
Lex Opus Online lecture series on “Career opportunities in law”
The Modern Law College under Competitive Examination Cell and Placement Cell in collaboration with the Alumni association of the college conducted a six-day lecture series on Career Opportunities titled as ‘Lex Opus’.
On the first day the guidance lecture on JMFC exam was conducted by Adv. Ganesh Shirsath. He guided students on eligibility criteria, Structure, and Syllabus and also recommended book for the examination. In the next session, Adv Mr. Akshay Bahirwade addressed students about the career opportunities in corporate law practice and also highlighted the necessary skills required in the corporate office.
On the second day Adv. Pratik Tendulkar, explained about various career opportunities in cyber law and about importance of cyber law. In next session Mr. Hrishikesh Honkalas had given lecture on Masters in Law and specialization in Masters.
On the third day Adv. Akshay Bahirwade discussed about career opportunities in banking field. He also shared his personal experiences while working in banking field.
On the fourth day Miss. Tanvi Parab who is the company secretary explained the students about scope of Law degree with Company Secretary. Company Secretary is a Compliance Officer who looks after all the legal compliances of the Company. The next session was led by Asst. Prof. Astha Taware. She guided the students on NET and SET examination.
On the fifth day, Asst. Prof. Archana Deshpande addressed the students on career opportunities available in Intellectual Property Rights. She also explained the procedure of the registration of patents and copyrights. In Second Session Asst. Prof Aishwarya Pagedar lectured on career opportunities available in international law and Human Rights
On the sixth day, Adv Fatima Naikwadi directed the session on various aspects and career opportunities in the field of Contract Management.

“Warfare in 21st Century: Challenges before Humanitarian Law”
The International Webinar on ‘Warfare in 21st Century: Challenges before Humanitarian Law’ was organized by the Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College on 16th of April, 2022. The objective of the webinar was to aware our students on various facets of international humanitarian law. The webinar was conducted in 4 sessions. The resource person of first session Dr. Sripathi Narayanan spoke on the topic ‘International Conflict and International Law’. In the second session Reza Khodabandehlouei enlightened the participants about the ‘Aspects of International Humanitarian Law in Iran and its role in protecting the victims of war’. Third session was conducted by Prof. Anupam Jha who focused on “Terrorism and International Humanitarian Law”. In the last session, Dr. Kanika Sharma guided the participants on “New emerging techniques of warfare.

Free Guidance Program for Law CET 2022 aspirants
The Modern Law College has arranged Free Guidance Program for Law CET 2021 aspirants from 26th August 2021 to 04th September 2021. Under this guidance program various lectures on topics like law, legal education, procedure of law CET, Legal Language, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Reasoning, legal aptitude and laws, General Knowledge and Current affairs were arranged by faculty of the college. The program was conducted online.
MLRC lecture series
The online lecture series was organized under the aegis of Modern Legal Research Centre from 10th to 12th May 2022 to inculcate the research values and to good research qualities among the participants. Dr. Sunita Adhav principal of the college inaugurated the lecture series by addressing the participants. The first session, Dr. Ananya Bibave, Vice-Principle Modern Law College enlightened the participants about “Fundamentals of Legal Research Methodology”. She touched the various aspects of legal research methodology.
The second session was conducted by Asst. Prof. Aishwarya Pagedar, OP Jindal Global University, Haryana. The topic for the session was “Research Methodology: Expectations vs Reality” under which she explained practical approach towards research and how to include research in study. She highlightedthe steps for a research, legal research methodology.
The resource person for third session wasAssociate Professor Rahul Bibave who guided participants on “E-Resources for Legal Research.” He illustrated in very interesting manner how to use websites and pages, YouTube, databases, Governmental websites, Case Laws where one could acquire knowledge, data and sources for research. The lecture was concluded by Asst. Prof. Manish Sagavekar expressing her vote of thanks.
Vidhirang 2022
‘Vidhirang’ is the combination of two words – ‘vidhi’ and ‘rang’ which depicts the colors of knowledge or law. The Vidhirang is an intra-collegiate youth festival organized by students of the Modern Law College. It is one-week festival which includes various cultural, sports, fun activities and competitions. This year Vidhirang was conducted from 17th to 21st May. The festival started with online youth parliament and badminton, Badminton, Cricket, & Football competitions. Late Smt. Sashikala Ramakant Ekbote State Level Elocution and Debate which is one of prestigious competition was conducted during Vidhirang festival. Chess competition, table tennis, basketball, carrom these sports competitions were conducted. Face painting, singing and dancing competition were held to promote cultural activities among students. Prize ceremony was attended by District and Sessions Judge, Pune Shri. Sanjay A Deshmukh,Justice Shri. Sunil G. Vedpathak and Senior. Adv. Dr. Sudhakar E. Avhad.
International Yoga Day
Modern Law College organizes special sessions on Yoga and meditation for its students and faculty members. The first International Day of Yoga was observed worldwide on June 21, 2015. Modern Law College’s BALLB student Manoj Gaud conducted a yoga session for both the faculty and its students. In the session Manoj conducted Akarna Dhanurasana, Baddha Konasara, Navasana, Kandhasana, Supta Virasana, Matsyendrasana, Viparita Shalabhasana, Trikonasana, Trikonasana, Vrukshasana, Padmasana, Surya Namaskar.
Blood Donation Camp
A Blood Donation Camp was organized by the NSS Unit of PES’s Modern Law College, Ganeshkhind, Pune-16 in association with Jankalyan Raktkendra, Pune on 28th June 2022 at the college campus. The camp began at 9:00 A.M with a short inaugural function by Principal Dr. Sunita Adhav madam who expressed her gratitude to the NSS unit of the College. Total 40 units of blood were donated by both students and staff members of Modern Law College.
Independence Day
The Progressive Education Society’s Modern Law College has celebrated the ‘Independence Day of India’. The Principal Dr. Sunita Adhav, all teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the college gathered for the flag hosting in the College Campus. The principal of the college unfurled the national flag. After flag hosting a march was organized by the Modern School along with Modern Law College in which all faculties and students of the college participated.
