Ramshastri Prabune Moot Court Hall
Modern Law College is equipped with a Moot Court Hall named after Ram Shastri Prabhune, the Chief Justice (Mukhya Nyayadhish or “Pantnyayadhish”) in the apex court of the Maratha Empire in the latter half of the 18th century. Ram Shastri’s integrity in public affairs is regarded as a model for all times. We hope for all are budding advocates to be inspired by his integrity and tireless study of varied laws and legislations.
Our Moot Court Hall is a fully air conditioned, equipped with the latest Audio and Visual Devices including an LCD Projector. The aim is to give a real time experience to the aspiring lawyers of the ambience of a court room and the proceedings and mannerisms. Thus, we not only aim at nurturing an impeccable understanding of the Laws, but also developing the soft skills of our future advocates in presenting an argument in the court room
Shankarrao Kanaitkar Audio Visual Hall
Modern Law College is equipped with an Audio-Visual hall named after the founder of Progressive Education Society, Shri. Shankarrao Kanaitkar. It is a fully air-conditioned hall with a seating capacity for over 100 participants with latest Audio and Visual Devices.
The hall enables smooth execution of varied seminars and workshops by guest speakers. Apart from regular lectures adhering to the wholesome syllabus offered by SPPU, we focus on holistic development of our students by revitalizing them with seminars focusing on real life experiences from ordinary individuals living extraordinary lives, and hands on workshop by industry experts.
Modern Law College is equipped with a Conference Hall for the staff meetings and proceedings. Accountability of all the stakeholders participating in the smooth functioning of the college is indispensable. The hall facilitates the gathering of the varied teachers, encouraging healthy brainstorming of ideas for student welfare, and the smooth functioning of the institute.
Classrooms at Modern Law College are spacious, well lit and airy to give our teachers and students the perfect ambience for effective teaching-learning experience. All classrooms are powered by audio visual aids for use of ICT in the teaching-learning process making it fun and interesting for the students.
Examination Committee works all year round for the flawless working of the Internal and University Examinations all year round. The University has entrusted the responsibility of proper functioning of the Examinations on the College Examination Officer appointed for the purpose thereof. The Examination Room is designated for the printing of question papers, keeping the answer sheets and other stationery relating to examinations. There is another Room earmarked for the conducting of Internal Assessment Programme for the First Year B.a.LL.B. and First Year LL.B courses.
A Cyber Zone with broadband internet is available, particularly for the students who have research work and preparation of moot court competition. The College has up-to-date computer facility with 16 Computers and one Standalone facility. LAN Facility in the Cyber Zone, Library, Principal’s Cabin, Conference Hall. The computers use genuine Licensed Software Windows.
The staff room at Modern Law College ensures a comfortable ambience for the teachers to retire to between lectures and invest their invaluable time in preparing informative, interactive lessons. Separate cubicles have been provided from each faculty to ensure a focused environment to ensure a peaceful space to encourage research and development. Being wi-fi enabled, the staff have all the essential resources at their disposal, just a click away.
The college is equipped with a canteen to ensure that healthy options, cooked in a hygienic environment are presented to the students and staff during the time spent on campus. The rates are pocket friendly as we attract students from varied stratus of society and consider the student’s health to be our priority. A wholesome meal and fresh juices from our juice bar are a go to place for everyone’s hunger pangs!
Hostel facility is available for the students ofModern Law College. The Students avail this facility at our Progressive Education Society’s Girls and Boys Hostel at Shivajinagar, Pune Campus. The accommodation for 120 girl students is available. Limited number of seats would be available for the boys in the new boys’ hostel building which is nearing completion. Total 27 rooms are made available separately for boys and Girl students. The Hostel facility is available at Sir Sasoon David Boys Hostel Shivajinagar, Pune 5 and P. E. Society’s Girls Hostel, Shivajinagar, Pune 5.
A lobby adjacent to the reading hall is provided for the students for a wholesome reading experience. It is also Wi Fi enabled so that students have all the information they need just a click away. While silence is mandatory in the library, disciplined discussions are encouraged in the student’s lobby to enhance group discussion and presentation skills.
Common Rooms for Students
Spacious common rooms (Boy’s Common Room and Girl’s Common Room) are made available to the students. Proper water supply and hygiene is maintained. A sanitary vending machine is provided for any emergencies faced by female students. Proper disposal of waste is also endured by the college authorities. Student’s comfort in the time spent on campus is our priority.

Separate well-constructed parking facility is available for two wheelers for the students.Separate arrangements are made for parking of two-wheeler and four wheeler of the vehicles of fellow staff members.

Modern Legal Research Centre (MLRC)
Modern Law College has established a legal research centre with the name of Modern Legal Research Centre to inculcate research qualities and social awareness amongst the students by conducting research activities. Modern Law College although established in 2003 and is one of the newest law colleges in Pune city.
