“Quality is never an accident; it is the result of hard work, determination, and perseverance.”

Modern Law College believes that quality is never an accident; it results from hard work, determination, and perseverance. Since I stepped into the teaching profession, I have realized that, as teachers, we have been entrusted with great power that can create and form the future of this country, and as Law Teachers, more so. All of us at Modern Law College understand that ‘With great power comes great responsibility.” Hence, we strive to achieve excellence by optimum utilization of all the resources at our disposal and raising the standards of imparting education in Law.

The College aims to expand horizons by providing students and faculties with all the comforts and amenities even during the Covid -19 pandemic. The teaching faculty has moved online or been disseminated via telephone and video applications. Web-based class meetings and Google classroom applications have become valuable tools and new ways of communicating with learners and the student community. These helped us achieve the highest peaks in the legal field.

The College envisions establishing a nexus between the profession’s theoretical and practical aspects. Some autonomous, value-added courses in Civil and Criminal Practice Training are also provided to pursue our vision and the curriculum. The College has been organizing an Inter-Collegiate Moot Court Competition since 2006. The College successfully organizes various activities associated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, like national level and State Level seminar Under Quality Improvement Programme annually. Shankarrao Kanitkar National Level Moot Court Competition in association with Board of Student Development, SPPU, where participation was seen from all parts of the country. We are also Implementing Earn and Learn Scheme in College as a regular activity. In the current year, this activity was organized and has been successfully conducted and concluded.

The College strives to bring the students in touch with the research aspect of legal training. We have conducted three successful research projects with the Marhatta Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture for Development. Just like Law touches every aspect of life, we make sure that we incorporate every aspect of life in teaching Law and provide the students with a wholesome experience.

It gives me immense pleasure to state that our College has students enrolled from all around the world. Students from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Thailand, Kenya, USA have been enrolled in our graduate program and provide a sense of diversity to our College. Along with international students, students from all over the country have also made their way to Modern Law College. The College ensures students from all walks of life feel welcome. Hence, we have various committees such as the Family & Psychological Council, Internal Complaints Committee, etc. These initiatives help in providing a nurturing atmosphere in the College. In case of any grievances, the Student Grievance Redressal Committee resolves the matter by helping aggrieved students and safeguarding their interests at every level and in every facet of academic pursuit.

Modern Law College has imbibed in its students the need for participation and holistic development and will continue to do so. Hence, towards the end of the Academic Year, an Annual Adjournment Week is held every year. A whole week of Academic, Sports, and Cultural events, concluding with a gathering, and the colors of joy adorn the campus. We are celebrating Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, a series of events to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence. The Mahotsav has launched 75 weeks before 15 August 2020, and it will continue till 15 August 2023.

The vision for this College is for its further development is to enroll more students from the rural areas and help them acquire the scholarships made available by the environment. Further, establish an MOU with foreign universities for student exchange programs. Various Steps will be taken to start up more Journals with ISSN and ISBN and completely digitized classrooms. Thus, under the able guidance of the Chairman DR. Gajanan Ekbote Sir, Coordinator Adv. We hope to achieve our vision in Chintamani Ghate and the helping hands of our faculty and non-teaching staff members.
