Moot court or Mock Trial is an integral aspect of any Law College. The Moot Court Competitions play an indelible role in the legal education of truly aspiring law students. At Modern Law College the Moot Court Committee pays special attention towards the development of advocacy skills of the students. The Moot Court Committee encourages the students to participate in various Local, State Level and National Moot Court Competitions. Evens so, the college itself annually conducts the highly prestigious Shankarrao Kanitkar State Level Moot Court Competition. Various colleges from all over the state of Maharashtra participate in it.

The Placement Cell of Modern Law College constantly endeavors to provide placement opportunities to the students in various firm and companies. In this process a dedicated team of the placement cell urged to provide internship opportunities, Pre Placement Talks, and placement opportunities. The placement cell continuously conducts various programmers like CV Writing Technique, Interviewing skill enhancement, Personality Development Skills, presentation skills, etc.
Legal education opens variety of professional avenues for the law students besides the traditional profession of the Advocacy with the Bar Councils. On the completion of LL.B. multiplicity of choices for future career opportunities are generated by corporate and Law firms. Advocates are required even in the field of corporate sector of various i.e in multinational companies, Governmental and Non- Governmental Organizations, Defense and also the prestigious cadre of Law enforcement agencies such as Government Pleaders and Police Prosecutors.
The Placement Cell College establishes a link between the students and such career opportunities. The College also provides guidance to aspiring students regarding various career opportunities after law graduation.
Magazine Committee
Ever year Modern Law College Publishes College Magazine called “Modern Lex Litera” (Legal Voice) The magazine is published articles in English Hindi and Marathi languages. The College Magazine is a bouquet of legal articles, Articles on Social issues, Poetry, Quotes, Jokes, Puzzle, etc. The Magazine includes the year round activities of the college conducted in the academic year, including seminars, workshops, Moot Court Competitions and other sports and cultural competitions. The students of the college actively contribute their articles to the Magazine. Amongst the other writers for the magazine includes, senior academicians, Advocates, Social activists, Teachers, etc.

Modern Law College makes learning a more interesting activity by coordinating it with other extracurricular activities. This is done so by an active Gym and Cultural Committee. Through these committees, students are encouraged to participate in various sports and cultural competitions, hosted at local and state level. The object of the Gym committee, is to focus on the over all development of the Students and to inculcate leadership qualities amongst them.

The Free Legal Aid Cell is established under the auspices of Modern Law College to provide free legal service to the deprived class of the society. The same would also provide the incumbent students with the first hand exposure to advocacy and skills of legal profession like client counseling, legal drafting, conveyance, etc. The legal aid centre includes a panel of some of the most eminent advocates from the district and High Court.
Mooting Oratory and Debating Club (MOD Club )
The MOD Club is a student centric club headed by a faculty member. The club regularly conducts Moot Court Competitions, Debate Competition, Elocution competition, and judgment writing Competitions. The club develops the advocacy skills of the students and encourages them to participate in such competitions at state and National Level.

MLC cherishes the time spent with it students and wish to continue its association with its students. The alumni association acts as one such link between the College and the former students to continue its relation long after the students has attained their degrees. Modern Law College has a very active Alumni Association with the name “Modern Law Alumni”. One of the student representatives is the President of the Association and the Principal is the Ex- Officio Secretary. The association includes former students who are now successful Practicing Advocates in District Court and High Court, MNC Professionals, Charted Accountants, Company Secretaries and Police Officers.

Modern Law College pays full attention to the students who have difficulty in grasping English language. To help overcome such difficulty, the college arranges for English Speaking Courses. The Course helps the students in the better understanding of English language and development of their English writing and speaking skills. This in turn helps in the better understanding of the
laws and prepare well for the written examinations. - Computer Learning
Computers are now an Integral part of learning methods. The help the students in updating themselves in the latest judgment, Case laws, Amendment, Latest State and Central Acts, etc. The college also offers a Diploma in Cyber laws with duration of one year, Which Guides the students on the information pertaining to the information technology. Those students, who do not have computer training course in the curriculum, are encouraged to take up the MS-CIT Course conducted by the state government. - Soft Skills
Soft skills are a synonym for “people skills”. The term describes those personal attributes that indicate a high level of emotional intelligence. Although a strong background in traditional “hard” skills like writing, mathematics and science will always have its place in academic and career worlds, an increasing number of employers desire prospective employees with “soft” skills.
Soft skills include the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and the willingness to learn through experience, and are applicable across multiple disciplines and careers. It is important for students to develop soft skills as they prepare for college and as they graduate and enter the workforce. There are five important soft skills college-bound students require. Viz., Communication and interpersonal skills; Problem-solving; Time management; Leadership; Stress management.
