The objective of the “Cyber Crime Certificate Course” is to provide postgraduate law students with an in-depth understanding of the legal and technical aspects of cybercrimes, their investigation, and prevention. This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, analyse, and address a wide range of cybercrime-related issues, including hacking, identity theft, online fraud, cyberstalking, and cyber terrorism. Students will learn about the legal frameworks that govern cybercrimes at both national and international levels, focusing on laws such as the “Information Technology Act, 2000” (India), along with international conventions and treaties. Additionally, the course will explore the challenges involved in the investigation and prosecution of cybercrimes, including digital evidence, forensic techniques, and the role of law enforcement agencies.
